About The University of Reading
The University of Reading is one of the UK's leading universities. It has a student population of more than 12,000 and is organised in faculties of Arts and Humanities, Economic and Social Sciences, Life Sciences, and Science. Each faculty comprises a number of schools and departments offering specialist courses and conducting research.

The University was established by a Royal Charter granted in 1926, after a generation as a University College associated with Oxford. Considerable expansion of the original University was made possible by the acquisition of an attractive 300-acre campus about two miles from the town centre. In 1969, following an agreement with the College of Estate Management, the University took over from the College as the leading provider of full-time degree courses for the property profession.

Further details of the University may be obtained from the Postgraduate Prospectus, available from the Student Recruitment and Schools Liaison Office, University of Reading, Whiteknights, Reading RG6 1BR or on www.rdg.ac.uk/PG/ .
