SPEED Welcoming Ceremony for new students –

SPEED held the Welcoming Ceremony on 3rd September, 2007. Nearly 400 new students have enrolled on the top up degree programmes leading to PolyU SPEED awards this year. The ceremony is an important event in SPEED in which all members of SPEED want to encourage every new student in their new school life and deliver blessings to them.

SPEED的持續教育理念是以帶領學生走向更廣更闊的知識領域為目標，每到新學年的開始，SPEED都會非常重視新學年的開學典禮，向每位新加入的學生打氣及予以鼓勵。SPEED於2007年9月3日便舉行了一年一度的學年開學禮，歡迎近四百名新生入讀院校的全日制學士銜接課程。
 
 

In the 5th Joint Graduation Ceremony of the College of Professional and Continuing Education held on 11 October 2007, 1675 graduates were excited to accept the results of years which they had worked for and prepared to start a new stage of life.

2007年10月11日是SPEED畢業生難忘的日子，當日為第五屆專業及持續教育學院聯合畢業典禮，頒授學銜予1,675名畢業生。而當日授銜的畢業生，全部都充滿自信地接受多年來學習的成果及肯定，向人生的新階段出發。

兩年兼讀制物流及供應鏈管理(榮譽)文學士課程

 

“I Knew that logistic industry is becoming more and more competitive, I decided to upgrade my knowledge in order to further develop my career in this industry. I found the programme broadening my knowledge and very practical. After taking the programme, I have improved my performance in workplace and have made my boss so impressed that I have been promoted recently.”

「我工作於一間貨運公司負責客戶服務的查詢，因為我感到物流行業的競爭愈來愈大，為了可以提昇自己的學歷及專業知識，所以報讀此課程；我覺得課程內容比我想像中更廣泛及實用，讓我可以用更廣闊的視野來處理日常工作的問題，而上司對我進修後的工作表現及能力，更為賞識，職位上亦被擢升。」

「我畢業後一個月便被一間航運公司聘請，我相信這個課程的畢業生深受業界歡迎，所以我畢業後求職的過程都十分順利；我覺得課程是理論與實踐並重，使專業知識更易掌握，而且導師亦能將外國的教材融合本地的市場，令我們學習上既可以了解國際層面亦能夠掌握本地市場脈搏。」
 

Heriot-Watt University Graduation Dinner – On 17 November, 2007,
Heriot-Watt University Club (Hong Kong) hosted graduation dinner at the Mezzanine Floor of the Metropark Hotel in Wanchai. Mr. Peter Wilson, University Secretary of Heriot-Watt University, Professor Brian Smart, Deputy Principal (Academic and international Business Development) of Heriot-Warr University and Professor Alexander Roberts, Professorial Fellow of Edinburgh Business School of Heriot-Watt University attended the dinner.

2007年11月17日，Heriot-Watt University(香港)同學會於灣仔維景酒店的Mezzanine Floor舉行畢業聚餐晚會，今屆SPEED跟英國Heriot-Watt University合辦之學位畢業生接近80位，而當晚出席晚會的嘉賓包括：Heriot-Watt University的University Secretary Mr. Peter Wilson, Heriot-Watt University(學術及國際商業發展)的副校長Professor Brian Smart及Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Business School的Professorial Fellow Professor Alexander Roberts，畢業生跟老師均渡過了一個溫馨愉快的晚上。
