The 18th LLB Graduation Ceremony – On 26 November, 2007, the 18 Grad Convocation Ceremony of Preparatory Programme for Bachelor of Law (LLB) was held at Planetarium Hall of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia. Dr. Jack M.K. Lo, Acting Director of SPEED and Rosa Kwok, Senior Programme Officer of SPEED attended the Ceremony and shared the precious moment with our 77 graduates who have enrolled on the Preparatory Programme for Bachelor of Laws (LLB) of the University of London (External System) offered in collaboration with ATC, Malaysia and Itech Training Centre (ITC), Singapore.
2007年11月26日，馬來西亞Advance Tertiary College(ATC)於馬來西亞吉隆坡會議中心的Planetarium Hall 舉行第十八屆英國倫敦大學法律學士學位備試課程畢業典禮，SPEED的署理院長羅文強博士及高級課程主任郭加之亦有出席，而今屆共有77位的授銜，當中畢業生Wong Kwai San獲授予 University of London's Sweet and Maxwell Prize的世界傑出優秀學生。他們都是修讀SPEED與ATC及星加坡Itech Training Centre(ITC) 合辦的倫敦大學法律學士學位備試課程。 |

The Scout Association of Hong Kong (SAHK) joined Consortium of Continuing Education Institutions (CCEI) –
SPEED welcomes Scout Association of Hong Kong to join strong alliance of CCEI, which was founded by SPEED. The ceremony was held on 11 September 2007. A Memorandum of Understanding was jointly signed by Sir Gordon Wu Ying-Shaun GBS, KCMG, FICE Honorary President (Academic Staffing and Resources), representing SPEED the Convener of CCEL.
Under the agreement, subjects offered by SAHK will be benchmarked for credit transfer ti SPEED under the School’s Credit Accumulation Mechanism (CAM). Credit transfer will facilitate learners’ pursuing different levels of academic awards, including Certificate, Diploma, Associate or Bachelor degrees under SPEED Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) awards. |

新成員！新成員！SPEED於2007年9月11日以「持續教育院校聯盟」主席兼召集人的身份，與香港童軍總會(簡稱「童軍會」)簽署合作協議備忘錄。簽署儀式由童軍會名譽會長胡應湘爵士與理大副校長(教研人才與資源)高贊明教授，在童軍會香港總監鮑紹雄先生及專業及持續教育學院院長阮博文教授的見証下簽署。
協議的內容主要是讓童軍會的成員在完成獲認可的學分課程後，可將所修讀的學分透過SPEED所設立的「學分累積制」，成為學院認可的學分，繼續進修，只要學生完成課程所要求的學分，便可獲學院頒授的證書、文憑、副學士或學士等資格。
理大副校長(教研人才與資源)高贊明教授指出通過學分轉移的安排，進修人士可以更靈活地選擇不同的學科及課程進修，從而考取更高的學歷，SPEED不但致力促進進修人士的自我認同及競爭力，亦同時協助優化香港的人力資源。 |

2008 Staff Retreat –
A 2-day retreat was held from 18 Jan to 19 Jan 2008 at Crowne Plaza Shenzhen in China. 224 participants including academic and administrative staff from all 3 units under College if Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE), i.e. SPEED, Hong Kong Community College and CyberU had joined the retreat.
SPEED於2008年1月18日及1月19日參加了專業及持續教育學院(CPCE)於深圳威尼皇冠假日酒店進行二日一夜的集思會。CPCE轄下的專業進修學院、香港專上學院及上學府教職員，合共224人為學院的未來教育路向及發展進行討論及分享。

Bachelor of Arts in Applied and Media Arts Graduation Show 2008–
being a remarkable milestone in the life-long creativity adventure, the graduates of Bachelor of arts in Applied and Media Arts which is offered by SPEED in collaboration withy the Hong Kong Arts School organized their graduation show “Small potatoes”. The works exhibited in the show cover both individual and social topics in various media which show the enthusiasm of the graduates in their future art field.
由香港理工大學專業進修學院與香港藝術學院合辦的應用及媒體藝術文學士課程的應屆畢業生，於2008年3月2日至3月25日期間，位於香港藝術中心包氏畫廊舉行一個以“small potatoes”為主題的畢業作品展。展覽給予這群初出茅廬的年青人向外界展現藝術才華的機會，畢業展品利用不同媒介，如平面設計、產品設計、陳列設計、動畫、品牌設計、攝影及裝置設計等展現畢業生對個人及社會的內心想法，希望藉著是次畢業作品展，鼓勵畢業生們於踏入社會後，於藝術發展上仍會不斷茁壯成長，努力邁向他們藝術成功之路。
