Ms. Connie Mak obtained her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (with first class honours) from the University of Hong Kong, with scholarships offered by the InterCham Scholarship Fund and The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers. After serving the MTR Corporation as a management trainee, she pursued her postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford and obtained the MSc. in Management Research and M. Litt. in Management Studies with full scholarship granted by the Swire/Foreign & Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom.

Since 2004, Ms. Mak has been teaching marketing, management and research programmes at various institutions in Hong Kong, including the City University, the Open University of Hong Kong and HKU SPACE (as Adjunct Lecturer). These teachings also involved degree programmes of overseas universities, such as Edinburgh Napier, Macquarie and Curtin, where she also supervised honours dissertations. During her tenure at OUHK, Ms. Mak was the course developer and consultant of the DBA degree, and has taught methodologies and supervised research proposals since the inception of the programme in both the medium of English and Mandarin. Ms. Mak¡¦s interest lies in the disciplines of consumer behaviour, symbolic consumption, brand management and strategic marketing in various contexts.

Ms. Mak has also served a few listed corporations as marketing manager, where she formulated marketing strategies and managed a number of award-winning marketing and advertising campaigns.
