Mr. Hui obtained his Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management (first class honors) and Master of Philosophy in Management from City University of Hong Kong, and is currently completing his PhD in Organizational Behavior at City University of Hong Kong. He received several awards, scholarships and fellowships, such as Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowships, while he was undertaking his MPhil and PhD study.
Prior to joining PolyU SPEED, Mr. Hui taught a variety of human resource management, organizational behavior and business ethics courses in university. He also conducted workshops and provided consultancy services to train secondary and tertiary school students to enhance their interpersonal skills, including job search and emotion management skills, as well as critical and creative thinking skills.
Mr. Hui has presented academic papers in several international academic conferences, including the Academy of Management Conference, Society of Organizational and Industrial Psychology Conference, Conference of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada, Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management Conference, and Industrial & Organizational Psychology Conference in Australia. He is an active scholar in both research and teaching. His major research focuses are work motivation, leadership and employee adaptation in organizational contexts.
