Florence is teaching management-related subjects for a number of degree programmes offered by the School and other franchised universities. In addition, she is serving as Assistant Programme Director of the School, and Programme Leader for the BA in Psychological Studies. Florence also chairs the School¡¦s Teaching and Learning Committee and sits on the School Board of Studies. She has been elected as Chairman of the Grievance and Appeals Committee for the College of Professional and Continuing Education, and is a member of the College¡¦s Ethics Committee. She also represents the School in PolyU¡¦s Working Group on Outcome-based Education.
Florence was trained as a human resource management generalist and got her doctorate in human resource development and organisation development from George Washington University, USA in January, 2006.
She has extensive corporate experience as a senior executive, having worked in both public and private sectors. She is specialised in strategic human resource management, learning and development, and organization development. She has taught at the Copenhagen School of Business, Denmark; University of Lund, Sweden; degree programmes at SPACE; and MBA programme offered by Western Sydney University. She has also conducted training workshops for various government departments in Macau, SAR; leadership development programmes for senior executives from multinational corporations, and private-owned enterprises, and officials from State-owned enterprises, PRC (medium of instruction ¡V Putonghua).
Florence is also a trained executive coach and Master Action Learning Coach. She has given presentations at numerous major international and regional conferences, and managed / led a number of consulting projects commissioned by OECD, UNDP and the World Bank.
She has also contributed a chapter on ¡§Training in the PRC ¡V a Challenge or Compromise¡¨ in the International HRD Consultants and Practitioners, edited by Len Nadler and Angus Reynolds.
She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management and a State-certified Master Enterprise Trainer (PRC). Currently, she serves as Adviser (Asian Region), World Institute for Action Learning; and Member, Entrepreneurship Committee, American Chamber of Commerce. |
