Dr. Ng is a Senior Lecturer with PolyU SPEED and currently serves as Head of Cluster (Business) for College of Professional & Continuing Education, PolyU. He teaches courses in accounting, business management, finance as well as mergers and acquisitions. He has also taught a graduate-level course in Financial Decision Analysis for Technology Management with Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at PolyU. Prior to developing his career in business education, he earned professional experience with Coopers & Lybrand as well as multinational firms in finance and project development within the independent power sector.
Dr. Ng obtained his Ph.D. degree from the School of Business at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. His interdisciplinary interests span across intangible assets, management accounting, performance measurement system and sustainability reporting among knowledge-intensive/technology-based organizations. He has published in refereed international journals and presented his research studies in a number of international conferences, including AAA, CAMOT, CSEAR, EAR, KMAP, Knowledge Cities Summit and PMA, etc.
In addition to his teaching and academic research activities, Dr. Ng has been a programme leader instrumental for an undergraduate degree programme accredited by HKICPA and continues to oversee its quality assurance and programme delivery. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants ¡V Hong Kong Divisional Council, a member of the Executive Committee of CMA Canada-BC - Hong Kong Branch and a board member with the Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians. He is also an external examiner for a post-graduate diploma programme offered by a tertiary institution based in Hong Kong. |
