Student Activities

 

A wide spectrum of activities are offered to the students of the SPEED award programmes.  They include the following: 

 

SPEED International Summer School Programme

The International Summer School Programme provides scholarships for students to pursue study in selected overseas universities during summer holidays.

 

 

SPEED China Internship Programme

This Programme provides students an opportunity to be exposed to the work environment and the cultural way of life in China during summer holidays.

 

Complementary Studies Programme

The Complementary Studies Programme is offered to supplement the formal curriculum.  It is intended to widen studentsˇ¦ horizon, broaden their intellectual outlook and develop their skills and knowledge in different areas.  A combination of interesting and up trend courses is organised within the Programme.

 

 

Physical Education Programme

Through the medium of physical activities and sports, the programme is designed to help students train their physique.  

 

 

Seminars and Workshops

Various seminars and workshops on presentation and interview skills, resume writing and personal styling are conducted to facilitate studentsˇ¦ career and personal development.  Seminars on study skills such as academic writing and project development, learning skills and time management, case studies in examinations have also been organised.

 

 

Alumni Association

The SPEED Alumni Association is established under the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations to promote fellowship among graduates and foster links with alumni of the PolyU community.  Student members are welcome.  For details, please visit http://speedalumni.org.
