香港理工大學專業進修學院(SPEED)參加了於2009年2月19日至22日假香港會議展覽中心舉行的「教育及職業博覽2009」，為到場人士提供全面的進修資訊及升學建議，滿足不同人士的進修需要。
SPEED的攤位設在會場的當眼位置，SPEED的教職員為到場人士介紹超過 20 項高質素的專業培訓及學位課程，包括文憑、學士以至碩士學位程度。當中的學士學位銜接課程更多達13項，涵蓋眾多對人才需求殷切的專業，包括由SPEED開辦及與多間優秀英國大學攜手合辦的課程。
金融海嘯雖然令不少人的財富減少，但卻令大家認清另一種財富──知識的重要性。不論是在學的年輕人或是在職人士，均紛紛查詢進修資料，索取課程小冊子，現場人山人海，反映出港人努力不懈的特性。
Education & Careers Expo 2009 - SPEED participated in the "Education and Careers Expo 2009" which was held from 19 to 22 February 2009 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre. We provided comprehensive educational information and study advice for the visitors to meet their learning needs.
With our booth set up at an eye-catching location, SPEED introduced over 20 quality programmes leading to academic awards which range from diploma, bachelor's degree to master's degree levels to the visitors. In recent years, SPEED's top-up bachelor's degree programmes have been rapidly developing to cover a wide spectrum of high demand professions. SPEED currently offers 13 top-up bachelor's degree programmes that lead to awards of PolyU SPEED or other well-known universities in the U.K.
Many people might have lost their savings in the financial tsunami, but they then learnt to recognise another kind of wealth - knowledge. Visitors, whether students or working adults, all looked for programme information and brochures at the Expo.
