本年度香港理工大學專業進修學院開辦兩個全新課程，分別為商業文學士課程*及公共行政文學士課程*，為擁有高級文憑或副學士學位人士提供一個靈活、全面及實際的升學途徑。課程畢業學員可獲頒發香港理工大學專業進修學院的學士學位。
商業文學士課程旨在為學生提供必備的商業知識及能力訓練，裝備他們成為商業專業人才。通過多元化的科目，畢業生能獲取全面的知識及技巧，從而面對不同的商業環境，都能應付裕如。而公共行政文學士課程則以訓練學生成為具批判思考能力及社會意識的人才為目標。課程有助畢業生在政府及公營部門發展事業，或在私人公司及非牟利機構擔當與公共事務相關的職位。
以上課程的報名截止日期為2009年6月19日。

New Programmes Leading to PolyU SPEED Bachelor's Degree Awards -
This year, SPEED has developed two new programmes, namely the Bachelor of Arts in Business* and the Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration*. The two comprehensive and practical programmes aim to provide a route for Higher Diploma and Associate Degree holders to continue their study for an undergraduate degree.
The Bachelor of Arts in Business programme is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills that enable them to be competent business professionals. Students are also exposed to the real business environment with comprehensive training that strenghthens their overall competitiveness in the market. The Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration programme focuses on training in work-related skills, critical thinking and social awareness. Graduates of the programme will be eligible for positions in a wide range of organisations including government departments, private enterprises and non-profit-making organisations.
