學習除了講求課堂及書本的知識傳授外，課外活動的參與亦愈來愈重要。SPEED一向重視學生的全面發展，不時舉辦課外的參觀考察，讓學生認識社會，在輕鬆的氣氛下潛移默化，既能增加不同層面的知識，同時亦能將學生的眼光帶出課室，擴闊他們的視野。
SPEED學生事務委員會於2009年2月27日安排學生參觀香港飛行總會。在香港飛行總會職員的導賞下，同學了解到本港甚至世界的飛行歷史、飛機種類，以及行業的未來發展等。
同時，香港飛行總會亦安排了飛行人員與同學細訴工作過程的難忘和有趣的事情。透過飛行人員的經歷分享，同學亦得以體會飛行人員的苦與樂，更深入認識飛行工作的本質。
這類體會式的學習，過程著重同學親身的嘗試和感受。同學除了有機會接觸從事飛行業的人士，靜心聆聽他們的講解分享外，更有機會親身接觸飛機及模擬駕駛艙，深切感受到飛行工作實在殊不簡單。

Extra-curricular activities are important for the development of students. SPEED values students' all-round development and thus regularly organises visits for students to enrich their knowledge and broaden their horizons in a relaxing way.

A visit to Hong Kong Aviation Club organised by SPEED's Student Affairs Sub-committee was held on 27 February 2009. Guided by staff of the Club, students learnt the aviation history, aircraft types and the aviation industry development in Hong Kong and around the world.
During the visit, a session was arranged for pilots to share their unforgettable experience with our students so that our students could know more about the job nature of pilots.
The special learning opportunity allowed students to become pilots for a day. Besides the chance to meet aviation professionals, students even boarded aircrafts and flight simulators for a real experience of aviation work. This was an exceptionally marvellous experience for the students. |
